Annunciation of San Marco

Painted by Fra Angelico around 1437, the Annunciation of San Marco was executed as a fresco on one of the convent’s walls. In 1441, following an intervention by a poet versed in the art of geometric verse, a subtle Moduloform appeared at the center of the fresco. One of the monastery’s monks, witnessing a manifestation of the work, captured a partial and diffuse emanation of it. Preserved in a controlled environment, it has been reconstructed here using technologies developed by NeoConsortium’s Evanescent Structures Conservatory.

This storytelling was produced by the Bureau of Vertical Enchantment in collaboration with the Department of Plastic and Religious Narratives of NeoConsortium.
